UAE Alliance for Climate Action(UACA)

The Road to COP28 & Beyond

In October 2021, the UAE became the first country in the region to announce its ambition to achieve Net Zero by 2050. This bold vision is anchored in the UAE Net Zero 2050 Strategy, led by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, which sets the direction for how the nation will transition to a low-carbon, resilient future.

The Role of Non-State Actors

Achieving net zero requires all of society - not just governments to act. Businesses, financial institutions, academia, and civil society play a critical role in accelerating decarbonization. Yet many organizations face barriers: limited technical capacity, fragmented knowledge, and lack of access to collaborative platforms to drive action.

At the same time, momentum is building. Across the UAE, more companies and institutions are stepping forward, eager to align with science-based targets, contribute to the Paris Agreement, and future-proof their operations in a rapidly changing economy.

To unlock scalable impact, non-state actors need the right tools, expertise, visibility, and partnerships—empowering them to transform ambition into credible action.

UAE Alliance for Climate Action For Non-state Actors

We are proud to convene the UAE Alliance for Climate Action (UACA). The nation’s first dedicated platform for non-state actors to come together and lead the transition to net zero. UACA is endorsed by MOCCAE and convened by Emirates Nature–WWF, with the support of global networks and founding donor HSBC

Join the Alliance. Shape the Future.

The UAE’s journey to net zero will only succeed if non-state actors lead work together. By joining UACA, your organization will be part of a growing coalition of climate leaders driving innovation, credibility, and collaboration to secure a resilient future for the UAE.
