From classrooms to careers, Emirates Nature-WWF creates pathways for young conservationists across the UAE - empowering youth and educators to take action for nature at every stage of life.
Students represent the future of our nation and our planet. Through Connect with Nature Citizen Science School Trips, students aged 9-16 take part in hands-on conservation, explore the natural world, and learn how to protect it.
From monitoring mangrove restoration to studying local plant biodiversity, each trip connects classroom learning with real-world impact, inspiring a sense of wonder and stewardship for the environment.
Schools in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra (Western) Region can sign up for these trips here.
Schools in Umm Al Quwain can contact [email protected] to book a trip, while schools in other Emirates can reach out to [email protected] to learn more about available opportunities.
Teachers play a vital role in this journey. Through free training and certification, they gain the skills and confidence to lead their own conservation trips - becoming community leaders who nurture a culture of lifelong environmental stewardship within their schools and beyond.
For older students, the journey continues through work experience placements across key conservation sites in the UAE – offering real-world exposure to conservation science and environmental management.
If you are interested in applying for work experience in one of the opportunities below, please reach out to [email protected]
Those ready to deepen their impact can join Leaders of Change, Emirates Nature-WWF’s community-mobilization programme.
Through internships, field activities and citizen-science projects, young changemakers contribute directly to the UAE’s sustainability goals while developing leadership and professional skills for the future.
